Friendship

I love the kind of friendships that no matter how much time or distance is between you that when you are together, you just pick up where you left off. My time in Brampton was just that. I love you Audralee, Erin, Kelly, Maria, Carolanne, Jessica, Danielle, and all the others I was able to spend time with. Thank you for welcoming us so freely into your homes, loving on me and the kids - it was truly refreshing and wonderful. We miss you all dearly!

Hodgie and Cameron

This is my most wonderful friend Audralee (aka Hodgie) and her son Cameron. We are staying here for most of our Brampton stay - it has been fun and good to just hang out. It will be hard for us to say goodbye. We had fun taking some pics today so I needed to post them - here they are!!!

Half Over Already

Well I can't believe that our time here in Brampton is half over already. The kids have been at their dads and just got back today - they had a great time going to the drive-in, swimming, watching movies, and the like. We still have ALOT of people to see now that the kids are back with me so next week will be very busy and fly by.

Michael . . . I MISS YOU! Thank you Mike, Meghan and Sydney for watching Mika and Chloe while we are away - please give them some cheekie rubs from us and some treats too! We are excited to go camping with you when we get back - it will be really fun. Love, hugs and kisses to you all!

Avah Jordan Flewelling

I finally met AVAH after 9 LONGGGG months. My dear friend Erin came down from Texas for the week and I got to spend some time with her and Avah or Miss Avah as they call her in Texas. She is simply . . . a delicious apple with an angelic face and the most delightful disposition. A little princess who was created simply perfect. I feel so blessed to have had a chance to smooch her little face, squish her most cute legs and see her beautiful smile. Thanks Erin for making the trip down and allowing me to share in the joy you feel every day with such a precious baby. Auntie loves you Avah!!

Little House on the Prairie??

Is it true? I am in URBAN Brampton and I am actually outside hanging clothes on the line - is this the twilight zone?? I am on holidays and doing like HOUSEWORK and worse housework than when I am at home?? what is going on!!!

Ok, just being drama, Audralee loves hanging the clothes outside, cause they smell nice and saves on the power bill - so ok.

Thought you all should know that is has not been ALL play!

I'm HERE!!

I arrived in Toronto yesterday . . . greeted at the airport by my dear friend Hodgie and Cameron. Brad was there to pick up the kids for a couple days and they were very excited. I am hanging out with Hodgie today and also with Erin and baby Avah - it is sooooo nice to be here with friends. I will post more pics and tell more stories later. It is midnight, we were just at Karaoke listening to Hodgie sing (she ROX!!) and eating good food (of course!).

Oh ya . . . it is hotter than HADES and SMOGGIER than well you know, really smoggie!

Ciao for now . . .

We are off tomorrow am to Toronto. The kids and I are sooooo excited! I need to clean my house, do packing and a bit of shopping so I might be pulling an all nighter -but its all good as I work better under pressure. I am sure the heat and smog will kill me but it will be so fun to hang with friends, visit old memory spots with the kids and be away on a real holiday!! I will post while I am away - computers and digital cameras are the best!! Love you all!

Mike, Meghan and Sydney . . . thank you for taking care of our babies Mika and Chloe while we are away, please give them lots of rubs, kisses and cuddles for us!

Congratulations Ry and Jess!

Yesterday was a big day for my friends Ryan and Jessica Hamilton - they got married! It was a beautiful wedding . . . classy, sheek as you can only imagine if you know the couple, but most importantly it was so evident that God is the centre of their relationship, they are off to a great start! I had the honor of Candlelighting with Mike at the Ceremony, and then I MC'd the reception. A bit stressful but so fun to be part of their most special day. I am so exicted for their future together "what God has joined together, let no man put asunder!"

July Long Weekend ROX!

We headed out to Allen Beach on Friday for the long weekend. We met up with 4 other familes that we camped with last year and added Nicole (Morgan's girlfriend) and Mike and the girls as well this year. There were 12 children (ages 8-12) and 9 adults. We made breakfasts and suppers together and ate better than one ever does at home - thank you Michelle for arranging the food and doing the shopping and meal planning. We spent our time visiting, swimming, suntanning, going to the famous "climbing tree", thanks Morgan for taking the kids row boating, going for walks, and just having a wonderfully fun and relaxing time. With so many kids in such a close age range one would think perhaps we were nuts - it was truly great, they love being together and we made wonderful memories again this year. We couldn't have asked for a better Canada Day Long Weekend. Alberta truly can have great weather! So . . . Michelle, Joe, Ryan, Scott, Ward, Karen, Jessica, Morgan, Nicole, Addy, Bethany, Mike, Meghan, Sydney, Darlene, David and Danielle . . . Colton, Levi, Madison and I will see you at the same time, same place, NEXT YEAR!

Mika Has Been Found!!

We got home from camping today and immediately checked the petlinx website and quess who had been turned into the pound - our MIKA!! I then checked my messages and realized a very kind gentleman had found her, only about 5 blocks from our home and she was desperately trying to get into his back door and since he has a 19 year old cat himself, thought for his poor old cats sake he better not bring her in to he drove her to the SPCA. We had prayed that someone who loved cats would just know that something was wrong and he was the right guy - he saw CROWS flying around her (she was under his car) and they were madly cawing. He said they would know she was a house cat - she's not too street smart :-). Anyways, I will pick her up from the city pound tomorrow as it was too late by the time we got home.

Thank you Gary for the being the "good kinda people" and thank you God for caring about the little things in our lives - we are a happy Sim clan today!
